Each Sycamore House Corps Member serves 32-35 hours/week with a Community Partner Organization. Corps members serve in a wide variety of capacities with our community partners, including:
- Act as a statewide community organizer at PA Chapter of The Sierra Club
- Advocate for prison reform at PA Council of Churches
- Advocate for disenfranchised individuals and groups at the Pennsylvania Utility Law Project and the Community Justice Project
- Coordinate events and social media at the Episcopal Diocese of Central PA
- Assist uninsured and under-insured individuals access healthcare at the Beacon Clinic
- Further community development work through grant writing and local projects with Habitat for Humanity
- Lead volunteers in construction projects at Habitat for Humanity,
- Teach at Capital Area Head Start (Click here for Facebook page)
- Serve in the after school program and as a substitute teacher at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School
- Coordinate volunteers and assist callers in crisis at CONTACT Helpline
- Advance fund development projects at Feeding Pennsylvania
